Dining & Lodging

Dining

Salmon with fresh vegetables. Mushrooms picked from the forest. Berries for dessert. Sound good? Well, it’s all locally grown and as a result, Oregon’s Mt. Hood Territory restaurants serve up some of the best cuisine in the region. With wines from local growers such as St. Josef’s and Oswego Hills, we also have the perfect complement for your dining, or picnicking, experience.

Diversity certainly keeps things interesting around here. Timberline Lodge Chef Leif Benson crafts treasures such as Pan Seared Fresh Breast of Oregon Poussin, while Calamity Jane’s in Sandy cooks up a mean peanut-butter burger – a favorite of the little ones. Truth is, everyone is looking for something different and our local chefs offer everything from BBQ wild salmon at Oregon City’s Weatherford's Grand Lodge to a burger and fries with your round of mini-golf at The Family Fun Center in Wilsonville. Those looking for something new, or the familiarity of a national franchise, will find what they are craving in the Mt. Hood Territory. We are even home to one of the largest whole grain producers in the world, Bob’s Red Mill, where you can buy packaged or bulk grains, grab a bite to eat or take a cooking class from a local chef.

Lodging

Need a place to rest your head? Part of visiting the Mt. Hood Territory is choosing from the abundance of lodging options. Visitors can get cozy by the fireplace while taking in a view of Mt. Hood’s peak at historic Timberline Lodge or opt for something more remote – perhaps cross-country skiing into Summit Meadows’ cabins. Year-round recreation abounds just outside the door at Collins Lake Resort, located in Government Camp. Small-town living can be yours for a night or weekend at Rosse Posse Acres Elk Farm and B&B in Molalla. Large vacation rentals are just the thing for family reunions or retreats, and many are set along streams and hiking trails for backyard fishing or exploring. From creekside cabins to a place with a pool for the kids, Oregon’s Mt. Hood Territory offers the lodging you need near the attractions you will visit during your stay.
